| Event Description: | Bromyard Folk Festival returns to the heart of the Welsh Borders for another exceptional weekend of music, culture and community. Across three packed days, audiences can experience almost 100 events taking place in 20 welcoming indoor venues, featuring around 400 performers from across the UK and beyond. From headline concerts and intimate acoustic sessions to lively ceilidhs, dance displays and participatory workshops, the festival offers an immersive celebration of traditional and contemporary folk. This year’s programme features an outstanding line-up including Richard Thompson with Zara Phillips, Sharon Shannon Trio, Kris Drever & Cahalen Morrison, FARA, Chris Wood, Jackie Oates & John Spiers, Suntou Susso & The Gambian Superstars, Granny’s Attic, Emily Portman & Friends, Steve Tilston, Janice Burns & Jon Doran, Sárán Mulligan & Muirine Nic Róibín, Keith Donnelly, Lauren South, Culverake, Wet The Tea and Alex Akiba.. Together they represent the breadth of today’s folk tradition, from internationally respected pioneers to emerging voices shaping the future of the genre. With lots of the venues indoors and within easy reach of one another, festival-goers can move effortlessly between concerts, club stages and dance floors, enjoying music in comfort regardless of the weather. Alongside the main concerts, there is a full programme of dance, spoken word, sessions, workshops and dedicated children’s activities, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive experience for all generations. Founded in 1968 to support and promote traditional folk music, song and dance, Bromyard Folk Festival remains true to its charitable purpose while continuing to present artists of the highest calibre.
